Yesterday's surprise mail was from an administrator doing a tidy up of a server at Merrill Lynch's London office. He had found an ancient copy of this DB that I inadvertantly left there. "Do you want me to mail it over?" he asked. Here's the shock I was in for. The funniest bit was how I italicised part of this sentence "Site hosted and powered by Lotus Domino". Hmmm. Can you tell I had gotten a little carried away with the new featuers of Fireworks?

Yesterday's annoying mail was from an "opt-out" advertising scheme. Normally they are from cr12Z2deZZZ@hotmail.com offering to make me a bigger man and I simply delete them (scowling under my breath). Yesterday though it was from sales@vertexera.com and was about "Lotus and AS400 Prospect Lists". Anybody else receive it?. Suddenly I found myself thinking here is a mail with which I can make a stand against spam. Watch this space if you are interested in how I get on. Mail me if you have any advice. Why am I doing this? Why not! Right then, I'm off to http://www.network-tools.com/....
