Tom Quinn GUI Suggest

Another suggestion for Lotus engineers (probably do one a day until the flow stops). This time courtesy of Tom Quinn. Click image for full version:

Tom Quinn's Notes Enhancement

Now, at risk of boring the majority of my readers more than I normally do, some more AppleTalk. The iPod is back to life. Just. The battery's average lifetime seems worryingly erratic to me. Turns out I'm not the only one. A search of the iPodLounge forums for "battery drain" brings back a whole lorra posts. I feel for the author of this one (and not just because his grammar is so poor):

I wish I had the guys name who said that they would replace it. I am so mad, I going back today, to try to get there attention(I am only 13 so they ingnore me because im not a person who buys expensive stuff there). I feel sorry for my Mom because shes taking me back and fourth from the mac store.

While we are talking about Apple, I want to thank David Frahm for this book he sent me. When he asked for my address to send me something not on my Wishlist I was a little apprehensive. There's nothing worse than pretending to like something somebody gave you when you'd prefer the cash. Hence the reason I dislike Christmas. However, this book probably would have been on the list had I known it existed. Thanks David.

One more thing: I finally got started on an article about a solution I promised more than a month ago. Just give me a few more days, I think it should be worth the wait...

    "There's nothing worse than pretending to like something somebody gave you when you'd prefer the cash. Hence the reason I dislike Christmas."

    I agree, partially, I hate Christmas. I'm RUBBISH (no more rude words from me) at revieving gifts.

    But on the other hand, it is worthwhile remembering that gifts are FREE. You're no worse off than before you were given them, and you've lost nothing. It's like a gamble where you don't have to lay down a stake. You can't TRULY lose.

    It's nice when a suprise DOES turn out to be something good as in this case though. I got a digital camera for Christmas. I can now take loads of pictures for the websites I write on! Cool.

    Here is my litle wish for Lotus engineers :

    I would like to see a new parameter in @Dbcolumn where you could specify how many results should be returned. Something like this:

    @DbColumn( class : cache ; server : database ; view ; columnNumber ,max_results)

    Example : In a web-application where you are requiered to show the 5 latest published articles, this could be handy.
