An old buddy and ex-colleague of mine, Jim Fricker, is doing his bit for charity next weekend, so I said I'd try and drum up some support. He's now an ex-pat living in sunny Australia and is taking part in the World's Greatest Shave, in which he loses all his hair.

The charity is the Leukaemia Foundation and you can do your bit by donating, either to the cause as a whole, or to shaver # 134401.

Just over three years ago I jumped out of aeroplane for the same cause. It was an amazing thrill but I went through months of mental torture in the lead up to the jump. It seems all the more worthwhile now as a mutual friend of Jim's and mine has heard the news no parent should ever hear - that their child has Leukaemia! Try and do your bit if you can.
