Back From Hiatus

Sorry about that guys. Did you miss me? It was a somewhat unplanned hiatus. Things here are a little hectic at the moment, to say the least. In between trying to earn money I'm doing a pretty good job at spending it all on the house. I'm going through the male form of nesting at the moment, trying to get all the DIY out of the way before the baby arrives.

Eventually the "box room" that is the office I am in now will become the nursery, so, at some point, I am going to have to move operations. This will allow the partition wall between me and the bathroom to come down and both rooms to be completed. All fairly big jobs and with an imminent deadline of early December. Stick with me. Things may go quiet from time to time but I'll be around and keeping things ticking over.

For now I am firmly stuck to the desk for all of this month and most of the next, just trying to catch up with emails and deliver to customer deadlines. It's a hectic life at times, but I'd get bored if it wasn't...

  1. Nice to see you back, I am also currently doing the DIY, but this is in preperation to sell the house, the aim is to decorate 6 rooms over the course of 3 x 1 week periods. This should be fun/interesting/a complete and utter nightmare (delete as applicable).

Welcome back. Was wondering where you'd got to. We're currently in the process of moving house, so no doubt there'll be plenty of decorating to do once we move.

  2. You're a hare of DIY compared to my tortise pace for that basement of mine... still haven't got the plastering finished - but "almost"! Don't forget to sleep somewhere in there, Jake. Very important when handling power tools.

Gotta love that DIY. Picked up a router table/router combo to slot cedar for a gecko terrarium. Mine's a small project, but there's something universal about power tools that just gets the blood moving. The trick is to make sure that the blood doesn't start to move outside of your body. :)

Jake... after that chimney breast knockdown, I figure that the wall will be toast in no time. Give'r !!

  3. DIY (Do-It-Yourself)

I learned something @ Wikipedia today lol

  4. Wikipedia demoronized me (for a while). I'm so in love with Wiki. Is there anything (better besides google earth) on the web?
