Survey: Are You A Lotus Domino Developer?
Asking if you guys are Domino Developers might seem a daft question, but I've always been curious to know exactly who my readers are. So, this is the first in a series of questions to help me discover who you guys are.
It might also offer an insight in to how many Domino developers are looking/moving to other skills.
So, now that the new surveys feature has bedded in, here the first question proper.
I have pies all over me :-)
BTW, the survey can not be answered by multiple users behind the same proxy.

I know. Sorry. Not much I can do about that really. You must have a web-enabled phone on your person? Use that. Hey, if you use a phone you can vote as many times as you like! Although I'm hoping people won't do that enough to skew the results.

I'm not currently a Notes developer, but aspire to be one in the near future, if that counts.

Hi Jake.
To enable more than one vote behind proxy i use this code.
Set doc=s.Documentcontext
......
Dim realip As String
' Prevent Proxy IP
If doc.HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR(0)="" Then
realip=doc.remote_addr(0)
Else
realip=doc.HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR(0)
End if
Great Job.

Hi Jake,
I used to be a Lotus Domino developer / project manager a few years ago. Then I did some non Domino project management and Java EE dev for a few years.
By now, I will come back to Lotus Domino developement among other stuff.
I discovered your blog during my first "LD" period and I haven't quitted it since. Even during my non LD years. And I always enjoyed reading it.
Keep going (even speaking of non Domino subjects !) as long as you enjoy it. Thanks.

Hi Jake,
I enjoy your articles and experiment with Adobe Flex ;)

Put me down in the 'Once a Domino developer, always a Domino developer' because almost all of the apps I wrote are still in use years later and I occasionally make changes or consult on changes even though I've been doing other development work for 3+ years now (mostly C#).

My vote goes to "Yes, but have fingers in other pies too".. like SharePoint. But I would prefer to say "Yes, but have fingers in other shit too"..SharePoint customization is no less than shitty job ;-)

I used to be a Domino developer in government, but could see the writing on the wall with poor management support and little understanding of how to really use the web, so I fell back on my original trade (accounting). I'm glad I did, as shortly afterwards they swapped everything over to Sharepoint.
But I still like to dabble in web projects in my spare time, and still love reading your thoughts.

Hi Jack,
I like your blog and your site very often.
My client now has moved to Sharepoint and .NET. So I have started my hands on that too.
I still think, Sharepoint doesn't even come near to what Domino can do. It may couple of versions for MS to get close to Domino.
My client thinks that everything in future will SharePoint based.
So I am just perplexed with situation now.
Thanks
Manish

Same as a lot -- I'm yellow to the core, but my firm has recently started to move to .Net.
